The Holiday Inn Southend located next to London Southend Airport is proud to be a part of the wonderful seaside town of Southend on Sea in Essex. As a historic seaside retreat for both Londoners and tourists from further afield, Holiday Inn Southend is proud of our heritage and we are equally proud to be a part of an industry that welcomes more than 7 million visitors every year. Southend on Sea has a reputation as one of the UK’s leading visitor destinations but there is so much more to offer if you are thinking of opening a business or relocating here.

Jobs & Investment

With key employment growth sectors in advanced manufacturing, healthcare, digital technology and cultural and creative industries, Southend has a huge appetite for growth and expansion and is actively looking to attract businesses who match our thriving ambitions.

Southend is already home to the UK’s fastest growing airport, international business such as Olympus Keymed, Natwest, Ipeco and Cantel; all of which are investing in the towns future, with significant regeneration plans across the Borough and work to become a Gigabit City already underway.

“Southend has a huge appetite for growth and expansion and we are looking to attract businesses who match our ambitions” – Chief Executive of Southend-on-sea Borough Council Alison Griffin

Things to do

In addition to being a great place to do business, Southend-on-Sea is also a great place to live with seven miles of coastline and over 80 parks and green spaces. Southend boasts three theatres, internationally significant cultural heritage collections, art galleries and famously, the world’s longest pleasure pier (1.34miles long)!

Southend for Business

The Southend Business Partnership is a network of over 600 businesses across Southend which brings together businesses from all sectors, sizes and backgrounds to share best practice, contacts, knowledge and news.

Business support providers also form an integral part of the network offering support, advice and guidance. The Partnership meets every quarter for an early morning networking session and to hear from business leaders on locally relevant subjects.
