Do I need an ID to check in?

Yes, you would need a proof of ID and your payment card to check in to the Hotel.

Is there car parking at the hotel?

The hotel has a car park in front and an overflow carpark adjacent with over 300 spaces in all available. The car park entrance is situated at the rear of the hotel. The car park is owned and operated by London Southend Airport and there is a charge applicable. For guests staying at the hotel we have concessionary rates for overnight parking. Using the restaurant or bar with a minimum £5 spend is free for 3 hours. The overnight parking fee is £10.00 for hotel guests and £17.50 for non-residents. If you are attending a conference or event at the hotel parking is free.

Please collect a ticket on entry to the car park and present to reception when leaving the hotel for validating and concessionary rates for parking.

Is there a safety deposit box available at the hotel?

No. All bedrooms have a safe.

What age do you class as children for hotel purposes?

Holiday Inn Kids Stay & Eat Free programme, by which children under the age of 13 years are offered:

Breakfast free of charge from the breakfast at Holiday Inn standard menu
Free lunch and dinner taken from a child menu, when accompanied by at least one adult taking at least one main course from a full-priced table d’hote or à la carte menu
Free accommodation when sharing their parents’ room
Minimum age for check in is 18.

Is email service available at the hotel?

The hotel has a PC for guest use available on the ground floor.

Do you have cot beds?

We have a few Graco travel cots and advanced booking is advised to availability.

Do you provide high chairs?

Where is the hotel?

What is the nearest airport?

London Southend Airport (SEN, LON-SEN). This is just a short 250-meter walk from the hotel

What is the nearest train station?

Southend Airport – just a short walk (300 meters) from the hotel.

What room types do you have?

Holiday Inn Southend has well-appointed guestrooms to offer you a great night’s sleep with several room types to suit your needs including spacious executive rooms, interconnecting family rooms, our 4 Superior Rooms, with all the comforts you could want.

How many people can stay in one room?

Up to 2 adults in a s tandard room and 1 child in a ‘Zbed’. (subject to availability and booking in advance). Fee applies for Z Bed.

2 adults and 1 child in a family room (small sofa-bed).

Do you provide a service for late check-out?

Late check-out is subject to availability. Fee applies. Please contact the front desk for more details.

Do you have rooms with a bathtub?

All rooms have a bath and shower except the accessible rooms which have a wet room shower.

Do you have non-smoking rooms?

All bedrooms and public areas are non-smoking. A smoking area is available outside the entrance of the hotel where there are benches and cigarette bin.

What options for dining are there in the hotel?

1935 Rooftop Restaurant & Bar is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week serving traditional British food with a modern twist. We also have room service available in the bedrooms.

Do I need to book for dinner?

Bookings for 1935 Rooftop Restaurant and Bar is always advisable but not always necessary. You can book online or call 0845 092 1935.
