How many guests can the venue accommodate?
The Laker Suite can host up to 96 guests for a sit-down meal and up to 175 guests for your evening reception. Smaller packages are available for more intimate gatherings.
Is accommodation available for wedding guests?
Yes, we have 129 bedrooms onsite. Preferential rates are offered to wedding couples and their guests, with an easy booking system and breakfast included for group bookings.
Can we have our ceremony at the hotel?
Absolutely. Venue hire for your ceremony is included in all main packages, and our events team will help coordinate every detail.
What catering options are available?
All food is prepared onsite by our experienced chefs. Menu tastings are included, and we cater for all dietary requirements. You can choose from a variety of starters, mains, desserts, canapés, and evening buffet options.
Are there recommended suppliers for flowers, photography, and entertainment?
Yes, we provide a list of trusted suppliers for DJs, photobooths, photographers, flowers, cakes, and more. Your wedding planner can share recommendations and help coordinate with vendors.
How do I book my wedding at Holiday Inn Southend?
Contact our events team on 01702 209086 or email events@hisouthend.com. We’ll hold your requested date for 10 working days before a deposit is due. A confirmation agreement will be sent with all package details.
What is the payment schedule?
A non-refundable deposit of £500 is required on confirmation. 50% of the remaining balance is due 8 months prior, the next 50% 4 months prior, and the final balance 1 month before your wedding.
Can we arrange pre-wedding gatherings?
Yes, you can book an intimate gathering in our executive lounge with views over the Essex countryside. Prices are available on request.
Are there any bonus features for wedding couples?
All new wedding couples receive onboarding documents, monthly newsletters, a wedding checklist, FAQs, recommended suppliers, and VIP access to wedding fairs. Special monthly bonuses may also be available.
